Supported Browsers

To hear the full “Original vs. Restored” mix, use one of the browsers below. Older engines lack the Web Audio features required for dual-channel playback. You can test the player on the features page or follow the listening workflow on how it works.

Google Chrome

Minimum version: 55

Microsoft Edge (Chromium)

Minimum version: 79

Mozilla Firefox

Minimum version: 53

Safari (macOS)

Minimum version: 14.1

Safari (iOS/iPadOS)

Minimum version: 14.5

Chrome / Samsung Internet (Android)

Minimum version: 55

Why do older browsers struggle?

  • They lack ChannelSplitter and ChannelMerger nodes from the Web Audio API.
  • Some versions force stereo audio into mono, removing the “A/B” effect entirely.
  • Legacy browsers pause or destroy audio contexts in background tabs, leading to silence.

How to upgrade

After updating, return to the homepage demo or contact us through the contact page if playback still fails.

  1. Update your current browser via its “About” page.
  2. If updates aren’t available, download Chrome, Edge, or Firefox for your device.
  3. On iOS/iPadOS, install the latest system version (Settings → General → Software Update).
